Purnong is a small picturesque riverside settlement 150 km from Adelaide and about 15 minutes from Mannum surrounded by farming lands strong in primary production with onions and potatoes.  Onions from Purnong are exported all around the world and you can experience the narrowest crossing on the Murray River at Purnong with the free 24 hour ferry.
