Asbestos.sa.gov.au is the new home of advice for South Australians concerned about asbestos in their homes or workplaces.

The asbestos.sa.gov.au website is the outcome of collaboration between SafeWork SA, SA Health, the Environment Protection Authority, the Local Government Association, Housing SA and the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure.  Each agency plays an important role in managing the risks of exposure and providing information and advice to South Australians about asbestos.

Cost for disposal of asbestos is $210 per tonne

Where can I dispose of Asbestos?

Asbestos can be disposed of at the Cambrai Landfill by appointment only. When disposing of asbestos, it needs to be correctly wrapped/sealed in 200-micron plastic before disposal and must also be in accordance with the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) guidelines.
