Annual Events
Events are always around the corner in the Mid Murray Council region. A number of major events and festivals are conducted throughout the year including the Swan Reach Country Music Festival, Sounds by the River, Mannum Truck and Ute Show, True Grit, Cadell Harvest Festival, the Sedan Swap Meet, the Palmer and Mannum Hot Rod Shows, Morgan & Districts Lions Club Easter Bazaar and Auction. Community events at Mannum and Morgan are held for Australia Day celebrations at their picturesque riverfronts along with the annual Christmas Pageants and Street Parties each year.
The PS Marion paddle steamer operates the majority of long weekends throughout the year, and takes short cruises out of Mary Ann Reserve at Mannum.
