Mid Murray Council is inviting feedback from the community on the following documents:

  • 2018/19 Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget
  • Draft Long Term Financial Plan 2018/19 to 2027/28
  • Draft Asset Management Plans
            - Transport
            - Community Wastewater Management Schemes (CWMS)
            - Bridges & Major Culverts

The Public is welcome to view these documents at the Council Offices during normal office hours or on Council’s website www.mid-murray.sa.gov.au

Written submissions are invited on the above mentioned plans and will be received by the Chief Executive Officer, Mid Murray Council, PO Box 28, Mannum SA 5238 or via the feedback form on Council’ s website or email to; postbox@mid-murray.sa.gov.au until 5pm Wednesday 6 June 2018.  Persons should indicate whether they wish to speak in support of their written submission prior to 5pm Wednesday 6 June 2018.

The Council will also provide the opportunity for the public to attend a meeting of Council to be held on Tuesday 12 June 2018 in the Council Chambers, Main Street, Cambrai, between 9-30am and 10-30am for the purpose of asking questions and making a verbal submission or speaking in support of their written submission.

Community Land Management Plan - 58 Walker Avenue, Mannum

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 197 of the Local Government Act 1999 and in accordance with Council’s Public Consultation Policy that the Mid Murray Council has prepared a proposed Management Plan for land that is owned by Council located at Lot 51, 58 Walker Avenue, Mannum, CT6196/636.

All local government land is defined as being Community Land subject, however, to whether Council excluded the land from classification in accordance with Section 193(1) of the Local Government Act 1999. Community Land is recognised as an important component of the urban environment, providing opportunities for recreation and leisure.

In accordance with Section 196 of the Local Government Act 1999, Council has existing Community Land Management Plans. A CLMP is a document prepared in consultation with the community that provides direction about the use of (Council owned or managed) Community Land. It identifies Community Land, the purpose for which it is held and dictates how the Council manages the land to which it relates, eg leasing of the land etc. CLMPs provide a means to control future use, development and maintenance of that land.

The proposed CLMP will be on public exhibition from 26 April 2018 to 16 May 2018 and may be viewed at Councils Office 49 Adelaide Road, Mannum, or on Council’s website at www.mid-murray.sa.gov.au

Written submissions on the proposal should be sent to the Chief Executive Officer, Mid Murray Council, PO Box 28, Mannum and received no later than 5 pm 16 May 2018. Council will consider all submissions relating to this consultation received by the due date. Persons making a submission should indicate whether they wish to address Council by way of a deputation in support of their submission and advice will be provided of the date on which the proposal will be considered by Council.
