Coordination of Services

Murray Transport Connections can also help coordinate transport options for eligible residents who are unable to access transport, for a variety of reasons.  The program works closely with local transport providers to help coordinate services for residents in Mid Murray Council and the Rural City of Murray Bridge.

Coorong Coaches Medical Bus Service

Do you have a medical appointment in metro Adelaide and don’t have access to transport to get there?

If you live in the Rural City of Murray Bridge, you may be eligible to use the Coorong Coaches Medical Bus service, which provides a wheelchair accessible medical transport service (for eligible passengers) from Keith to Adelaide Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Adelaide appointment times need to be between the hours of 11am and 2pm, and a minimum of 3 working days notice is needed prior to your appointment date.

If you live outside the township of Murray Bridge we may be able to assist with a ‘link-in’ transport service so you can access the medical bus.

Transport as a Last Resort

If you are ‘transport disadvantaged’, we may be able to provide occasional, ad-hoc assistance if no other transport is available to you.

‘Transport disadvantage’ exists when a person cannot access transport to maintain their quality of life and participate in their local community.

If you are:

  • unable to access public transport due to distance, mobility and/or availability of services,
  • unable to drive yourself, and
  • unable to access another person to transport you

Please call Murray Transport Connections for more information about how we may be able to help get you to your destination.

Please contact Murray Transport Connections to discuss how we can help you - phone 1300 190 869.
